Matua Steve at Matatini

 We ready enjoyed watching Matua Steve, our kapa haka teacher, and his team perform at Matatini. Room 18 joined us as we used a poi to join in with the team. 

Jump Jam Friday Fitness

 Every Friday we join the other classes in Team Waka for fun fitness. Watch us be builders and learn the Bob the Builder dance.

C Week

 We read a story about Pete the Cat. He is resilient - he does not give up when things go wrong. 

We made Pete the Cat headbands.

Meet Cooper Caterpillar, one of the characters we learn about in phonics and reading. 

We had lunch with our big buddies on Friday. It was lovely to have a fine day so we could get together.

Adleine joins Room 19 and other exciting stuff

A drone came to see us... Mr Lewis was filming the new building site while we were eating and he flew it over to see what we were doing. Can you see the drone in the red circle?

Adeline and Hayoung are making monsters...

.... and here they all are. They are quite friendly really and all different. Just like the children who made them!

We have been learning about how we are all special. One of the special things is that we all come from different families. Check out the different places some of our families have travelled to New Zealand from.

 

Week 1 - Meet the Room 19 team

We have had a great week getting to know each other and finding out what school is all about.
