Goodbye 2024

 Here we are, Room 19 of Te Parito Kōwahi Russley School. 

We have had a fun year. Now we are all ready for the challenges of 2025.

Our Wild Things

We loved the story "Where the wild things are". Here are our drawings of one of the characters in the story.

Dolphin Collage

 We learned about the digraph 'ph' this week. We also found out about the incredible dophin and how they are different to sharks. Look at our dolphin collages. 

We just need thedye to dry and they will be all finished.

We Love Harold

 The week we had Harold the giraffe and his friend Jo visit us. We helped him to choose a variety of foods for his lunch box. We learned that a variety of foods makes us healthier and learn better.

Harold also introduced his friends and showed us how we can be a great friend to others. We loved the friendship song disco.

Science Focus

 Shadows

We had to wait for a nice sunny day so we could experiment with shadows. We found that sometimes shadows are longer, it depends on where the sun is. We had fun drawing and labelling our shadows.

Flubber

A new science kit arrived at school. It was called Nano Technology. Lots of the lessons were a bit too tricky for us but we found instructions to make flubber. We mixed 2 liquids together and found out it made a different substance. It felt gooey, soft and sticky.

Term 4 - Meet our 'New' Class

It has been exciting to welcome 7 new people to our class. We have had such a busy first week.
